Robinson Cadet, Sr. is a retired Assistant Deputy Warden (ADW)from New York City Department of Correction
who forged a second career with the United Nations as a Deputy Chief Correctional Advisor. He has over twenty
(20) years of experience in the 2 nd largest jail system in the United States combined with 2 additional years of
experience as a New York State Correction Officer prior to joining New York City Department Correctional
system. After his retirement from NYCDOC (New York City Department of Correction) Robinson Cadet Sr.
worked as a Deputy Marshal in Queens Federal Prison for another 4 years before joining the United Nations as a
Correctional Advisor in October 2006.
From June 2009 to July 2016 Mr. Cadet occupied the position of Deputy Chief of the United Nations Correction
Advisory Unit in different UN missions such as in Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Ivory Coast.
